The Halacgos of the Nine Days

Alon Number:
  1. Regarding drinking the Havdala-wine on Motz'ei Shabbos Chazon: Some give it to a young child that is above the age of Chinuch for Havdalah but is not yet of age to understand the meaning of mourning over Yerushalayim. However, since it is unclear as to which age child fits into this category, and in addition, the child must drink the amount of a 'M'lo Lugmav', many have the custom that the one who makes the Havdalah drinks the wine or the grape juice.
  2.  Some are Machmir during the Nine Days and refrain from eating any cakes or pastries that contain wine if the taste of the wine is discernable.
  3.  On Shabbos it is permitted to eat meat and drink wine. Regarding other Se'udos Mitzvah, see .סי' תקנ"א סעיף י'
